[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Printer Spooler for DOS

steve@pinet.aip.org (Steve Lushing) (01/08/91)

I am currently looking for a printer spooler software package for MS-DOS.
My problem is I have a very large file that we print onto a dot matrix
printer. In DOS, we use the command print and the file gets printed
continuously. What happen was that the printer got jammed and printed
garbage or the printer stop printing because of some paper jam.

What we are looking for is a commercial software package that knows where
was the location of the last printing OR has a easy way to identify for
us all the records that has and has not been printed. Also we like to
easily restart from the point we decided to reprint instead of starting
over again from the beginning.

What I need to know are the names of the software package and a summary
of the capabilities (good and bad). So far we have heard of P.D. Queue
and Print Q 4.0

thanks in advance.
