Hi, I'm new so sorry if I'm asking about something that's been done to death, but I'd like to transfer files from my PC at home to my account at Sequent Corporation. I also, for what it's worth, use my PC to log into my Sequent account. These files are produced with MS Word 4.0, but I can send them in pure ASCII, I don't mind. They're usually around 10K bytes. My comm software is Bitcom 3 and I've tried to send using kermit and Xmodem. But all I get is lots of whines from my PC and empty files in my Sequent account. Anyone who has tried and figured out how to do this? Many thanks for any advice. Martha Roos

I use ProComm+ with kermit all the time. I simply go into kermit (interactive mode) on the Unix box, then type 'r<cr>' to transfer to Unix, then PgUp to upload. To transfer to the PC, type 's filename<cr>', then PgDn on the PC. -- Roger D. Gough +1 703 689 1692 Sequel Technologies uunet!virtech!rdg
