the arrl executive committee met august 24, 1985, to examine
nominating petitions filed by members in seven divisions for arrl
director and vice director for two year terms of office beginning
january 1.

the following candidates are unopposed and so were declared elected
without balloting.

atlantic director hugh turnbull, w3abc
dakota director tod olson, k0to
delta director clyde hurlbert, w5ch
great lakes director george s. wilson, w4oyi
pacific director rodney j. stafford, kb6zv.

dakota vice director howard mark, w0ozc
southeastern vice director evelyn gauzens, w4wyr.

ballots were ordered mailed to full members in six divisions, as
follows.

atlantic division
   for vice director
      bardsley, kb3om
      mozley, w2bch

delta division
   for vice director

      schmidt, w5ghp

great lakes division
   for vice director

      severson, ab8p

midwest division

in separate elections held in canada, thomas b. j.natkins, ve3cdm,
was reelected without opposition as president, crrl, and harry
maclean, ve3gro, was reelected without opposition as vice president,
crrl.  they will serve, therefore, as director and vice director,
respectively, of the canadian division, arrl.

ballots must be received by noon november 20, and will be counted on
the following day.
