I'd like to have some input from the people in the net about "The Little Big LAN" or other low cost networking alternatives. We have in our lab 4 XTs (ATTs, and they really suck) a PS/2 and an Apple LaserWriter, and we would like to take as much juice from them as possible. Take a look at LANTASTIC.
Pro: Its really rather neat. Uses very little RAM.
Is quite cheap. It's easy to install and use. It doesn't require a
dedicate server.
Con: Not much in the way of security. Not compatible with Macs.
