[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Help with TSRs in a Hostile World

tmh@well.sf.ca.us (Todd M. Hoff) (01/22/91)

I'm having two problems with my TSR operating
in hostile environments. I need these problems
solved and am willing to **pay** somebody to
solve them for me.

PROBLEM 1:
PC IRMA, a PC to IBM mainframe link, grabs both
the timer and keyboard interrupts for its self.
When my TSR pops up it locks up the machine. How
do I keep my programming working?

PROBLEM 2:
Another communications program, connecting PCs
to HP 3000s, does something such that when my TSR
pops up the my screen is filled with strange
characters, no longer responds to key board commands
and can lock up the host machine. Why does this
happen and what can I do.

RELEVANT DATA:
1. TSR written in Turbo C version 2.0.
2. Takes about 54K.
3. Links into keyboard and timer interrupts
but chains like a nice TSR.
4. Uses TSR package resident_C
5. Does direct screen writes.

Sorry for the extensive cross posting but I
really need help!
