A friend of mine recently asked me for advice on purchasing a word-processing system for a large translating task in India. Since reliability is a must, I suggested a nice, slow-running '286, as they are practically indestructable, two floppies, and a 60Mb hd. That part was simple. The kicker is this: he needs a Sanskrit word processor. I've never dealt with this before. What kind of monitor is required? In addition to the Sanskrit word processor, I would also like to provide him with more specific information on: 11: 220v power supply adaptors 22: monitors which function in India, at 50Hz I think, and 3: uninteruptable power supplies for this environment.
