Under DOS 4.0 and higher, one can use the "mode" command to change the keyboard repeat rate along with the delay from when the key is first hit and when the repeating starts. On my 386 clone, I can change the repeat rate, but the initial delay remains the same (1 second) no matter which value I choose for it (the choices are 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or 1 second). Note that the same command works fine on my friend's computer. Is this a problem with my BIOS, my keyboard, or what??? The long delay is very annoying. Thanks for any insight. -- +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Tom Levin +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ | {ttidca|hacgate|bellcore|hoptoad|csun|harvard|uunet|rdlvax}!psivax!tommie | | INTERNET: tommie@pacesetter.com N6ZIF through ZX-10! | +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+
