Hi, I am thinking about subscribing to Prodigy. (Kind of a scary idea huh? Well it is OK I have my reason and it is NOT that Prodigy looks like a great BBS!) At any rate, I did a "test drive" of Prodigy using a friends account. I was disappointed in the software, particularly for E-MAIL which is a special interest of mine. The 30 message a month limit does not bother me given what I need it for, but I am used to preparing my e-mail offline and then logging on and doing a quick upload using Mirror (a Crosstalk clone). This ablity doesn't seem to be available. What is worse, there doesn't seem to be a way to save messages (other than printing them locally). I can understand that Sears doesn't want me to tie up their discs with my old messages, but the software doesn't even seem to allow me to transfer a copy of the message to my local disc. Is all of this true? Are there any work arounds? Frank frank@odetics.com or uunet!odetics!frank
