I have an 8-bit 256K Paradise VGA card connected to a VGA monochrome monitor. It is used in an AT compatible. One day while I was running explod, the fireworks screen blanker, the screen started to waver and progressively got worse. When I exited to DOS, text was displayed fine. Everytime I run a graphics program, the screen would come up as if there is no sync signal. If I turned off both the computer and the monitor and turn it back on, the graphics would improve (but still wavering) and progressively get much worse until all I could see is a bunch of random moving dots. Is the problem in the VGA card or monitor? The puzzling thing is that text displays fine, even in 50-line mode. It's just the graphics that does not work. Another symptom is that when I run infoplus and checked the monitor stats, the value I got for the amount of video RAM shows 192K, >800K, 0K, depending on how I got to the video page (i.e., PG-DN from previous page, PG-UP from next page, or directly from the menu). Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dzung T.
