Alright, here's the problem. I have a Soundblaster and Desqview/QEMM 5.11. When running under DV and running SB software, QEMM gets an exception and says to up my DMA. Ok, I upped it 64k and no more problem with the DMA, except that now graphical games won't run(like Solitare and the like). Take out the DMA buffer, graphical stuffs ok, but then the Soundblaster coughs up blood. What is wrong here? To me they shouldn't have anything to do with each other. BTW, I have a 386sx, 2mb, phoenix bios. Does anybody have any ideas? Makes things Really annoying! Thanks in advance. Joel Lucsy (JJLUCSY@MTUS5.BITNET or JJLUCSY@MTUS5.CTS.MTU.EDU)

I also have a 386sx (6MB) and QEMM with a SoundBlaster and piles of other Interesting Stuff installed. No such problems with DMA, except with a certain SSI game (Secret of the Silver Blades). What IRQ did you configure the card for? I had to change from the default setup to IRQ5 (I think) to prevent hardware conflicts. -- ___Mark S.
