Please could you let me know of any expanded memor emulator drivers that I could use with my PC to turn some of its extended memory into expanded memory.The PC is a Packard Bell 286 Force 1 with EMS/LIM 4.0 extended memory (2 Mb). I got a driver from PB that does this emulation, but it takes away about 130 Kbytes of RAM when it is loaded (leaving too little to run some applications). Thanks, Jim Snowden

I have a question/comment about your question. Isn't EMS/LIM for exPANDed memory??? I thought XMS/LIM was for extended memory. Also, I thought I read somewhere that extended memory was only a function of 386's and above... Was that person wrong??? I have a '486 and I got windows. I use the emm386.sys that is included with windows as a expanded memory emulator (I have 4Mb extended memory) -gmw
