[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] EDI, EFT, Smart Cards Research

M.LOOI@qut.edu.au (02/21/91)

I am carrying out research in the field of Electronic Data Interchange
for my PhD thesis.

In particular, I am looking at combining EDI and EFT, utilizing Smart
Card technology with a view towards allowing transactions to be
authenticated by stand-alone PC's, and later transmitted to a host
computer (probably using X.400 Store-and-Forward).

I will also have to look at various encryption methods and key management
schemes for the security aspect of this research.

If there is anyone else out there doing similar research (or components
of it), either commercially or in an educational area, I would be very
interested in hearing from you.

Please e-mail me at m.looi@qut.edu.au

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Mark
