Anyone ever heard of software which can handle Troff in DOS? A screen previewer as well as a laser driver would be nice. Just curious. tom

Tplus has numerous shortcomings and bugs, the people there do not answer their e-mail and I've about given up using the product. On the other hand, when I was investigating troff for a client, the response from Elan was outstanding. Suggest you see if they have a 30 day demo or some such. Elan advertises in most Unix mags (none of which I have handy). /\/\ \/\/ -- Michael R. They also have a demo which shows you what your system can do once it's set up right, but that's about it. After that you have to buy it or forget it. The Elan product is DWB 2.0 compatible and they advertise it as "lots of known and new bugs from troff fixed in it". It looks very impressive, and if you have the $$$ I'd recommend it. Unfortunately I don't have their docs any more, including their phone number. In fact, I don't even remeber which area code they're in. Howsomever (as Pogo would say), try Unix Review or Unix World or Unix Today for an ad - someone must carry it. You could even try Byte or PC Magazine or PC World or any of the others of that genre as well. -- Mark A.
