[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Need to find a reliable 70MB hard disk

ec@cimage.com (Iain O'Cain) (03/02/91)

We've been using the Micropolis 1335 (an MFM full-height 85/71MB disk) for
a few years now. They're highly reliable, and we end up with a good
partition count under DOS 3.3 with no special software.

Micropolis is discontinuing the 1335 now, and there seem to be very few
vendors still making 70MB MFM ST-506 hard disks. What I need to find now
is either an ST-506 MFM 70-90 MB disk that's going to be around for a while,
or some other kind of disk and controller that are equally quick and simple
to install.

Please send me mail with any suggestions; I don't read this group very often.
If people want to see a summary, then I will summarize when I figure out which
disk/controller to use.
