[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] ramdisk above 640 k barrier

dwright@gara.une.oz.au (Denis Wright) (03/02/91)

I know I could get the answer to the following if I studied the
right manuals, but I'm hoping for a simple answer....

Question: If I'm using DOS 3.3 and my machine has 1 mb RAM, and
all I want to do is to be able to use the RAM above 640k as a
ramdisk, what's the way to do it? (I have no problems creating a
ramdisk within the 640k range.)

If there's no way using DOS 3.3, what's next best?

To use the ramdisk in extended mem, use the /E flag, and for expanded, /A
