I just purchased a used NEC Multispeed laptop; works fine, no problems, and all of that. The woman from whom it purchased it had the DOS manual but not the machine manual itself ... for those of you who have these little contraptions, I ask the following questions: 1. on the rear (lower right hand corner) there is a bank of four dip switches. They are (respectively) D U D D. I am not going to touch them until I find out what they mean. What do they mean? 2. Infoplus tells me that I have a V30 processor chip. What does that compare to in terms of the Intel 80X6 line? Speed? Thanks. -- Ted Koppel CARL - Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries = BITNET: TKOPPEL@DUCAIR Internet: ted@carl.org or tkoppel@diana.cair.du.edu
