I've just been trying to buy an NEC 386SX. If you're thinking about doing so, I suggest that you look somewhere ; save yourself a lot of time. About 5 weeks ago we started to look at 386SXs, we chose Epson and NEC and arranged for an evaluation two weeks later (about 3 weeks ago). Epson delivered; NEC promised and has not yet delivered. The word is that NEC are not delivering except for confirmed sales. The word from us consumers is that we will not buy computers which we can not try beforehand! It might be that the company that I was dealing with was not in NECs good books, but should it matter? Having set up a LAB with 24 NECs, I'm now changing my alliance.
