I am having trouble getting xtalk to automatically dial a number using my 2400bps modem. I can set up the connection and dial the number just fine. However, while dialling, a timer appears at the bottom of the screen and, upon timeout (40 seconds or so), the process is terminated, whether the telephone has been answered or not. In my case, the telephone has usually not been answered and so the call is aborted. As you may imagine, this is very frustrating. Is there any way of disabling this timer. By the way, I am able to connect if I do everything manually, i.e. get into Xtalk and enter the AT commands manually. As usual, the manual sheds not light on this subject. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, -Graham

It appears that you haven't read the manual very carefully, but to answer your question; The 'GO' command syntax: GO Rnn/mm where, nn = delay between re-dials mm = delay for call to be answered Try increasing the mm parameter for your problem. 8-] ; Steve H. -- Steve Hodgins hodgins@buster.cps.msu.edu Systems Engineer (Internet) = 35.8.56.
