[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Microsoft C HELP needed!

kuento@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu (03/15/91)

Howdy, all. My brother recently acquired Microsoft C 6.0 for his law
office, expecting that after using Megamax C for years, that this
would be an easy switch. He has so far been unable to compile a single
program succesfully, and he needs a pointer or two as to what is going
wrong.
Apparently when he tries to link, he keeps getting the response
INVALID OBJECT MODULE, along with little hex notations of position and
record type - he hasn't been able to find out from the documentation
what this error message is, or how to decode what the hex codes are
trying to tell him. I think it's driving him crazy that he can't get
this to work, and so anyone who can help out here...
Please e-mail responses (I don't read this newsgroup) if you've got a
pointer, and I (and my brother) thank you in advance.
