Well got msdos 4.0 and finally got around to installing it. Thought 4.0 required redoing of the hard disk so generated a floppy version. When i booted it knew about my hard disk and i was able to execute pgms etc. So somebody care to straighten me out on whats going on? Did a quick scan thru the doc and found no warnings about 3.3 <-> 4.0. What have i been missing? 73, ted n6trf

If you are happy with the way your hard drive is currenly partitioned (or if you only have a harddrive with 30 mb or less) then you don't need to repartition. Note that if you do decide to repartition to take advantage of the >32 MB partition abilities of dos 4, you will need to load the program share.exe at boot time.
