tWo issues, the possible need for a null modem connection and incompatible handshakes, seem to complicate my attempt to print on a Laserwriter IINT connected with a serial cable to my ToshibA T-1000 laptop. Any advice? The IINT manuals (2 editions) seem to give contradictory information regarding the appropriatEness of a null modem connection. Regarding handshakE, a manual indicates that the IInt uses XON/XOFF while MS-DOS machines are alleged to use DTR/DSR or whatever. The manual gives a program one is supposed to send to the IINT from the MS-DOS machine to change the handshake of the IINT to DTR/DSR (?). BUT, if the handshakes are incompatible, how can one send that program, and if one can send that program, why can't one send one's PostScript print file program instead, which is the actual goal? Thank you. Oren Haber-Schaim
