I am looking for frequencies of HF Ham nets used in Emergencies, especially along the East Coast of the US. I am sure many were used during the attack of Hurricane Gloria. ....... Ed N1BFF

Ed, I can't speak for the rest of the people in INFO-HAMS, but here in Alabama we use two different frequencies during emergencies. 3.965 MHz after 6 PM (Alabama Traffic Net "MIKE" (ATNM) 6:30 PM CDT to about 8:00 PM. 7.243 MHz during the day, same net name. Also, listen to 14.325 (I believe) for the Gulf Coast Hurricane Net, ham stationed in National Hurricane Center gives up to the minute news; however, net gets very undisciplined occasionally. Ed: The ARRL publishes a NET DIRECTORY which is available for the price of a s.a.s.e. That used to be a 9 x 12 envelope with $.88 postage on it, before they raised the postage rates. If I compute it right that's now $.90. Good luck. Bob N2FQO
