Thanks to the good folks on the net who took time to reply to my previous question about MKS 'vi'. These people seem very satisfied with 'vi' and MKS products in general. According to their info, 'vi' is a VERY FAITHFUL inplementation of Unix 'vi' on the DOS or OS/2 machines with virtually no file size limit (64*1024 lines max). Just about every thing is good. These good folks, however, also recommand buying the MKS Toolkit instead almost uniformly. The Toolkit contains 'vi', 'awk', 'sort' etc, no less than 100 Unix commands and especially the 'KornShell' which is supposed to be like the Unix C-shell to replace 'command.com'. According to MKS, all their products have 30-money-back guarantee no matter where you buy. MKS has an 800 number and their people seemed nice. Source of order: Programmers Paradise: MKS 'vi' $125 MKS Toolkit $199 CompuClassic MKS 'vi' $139 (Who cares!) I'm going to order the Toolkit today. Thanks a lot. Zhou dve@mace.cc.purdue.edu
