I have a few questions for anyone who might own the product PC Interlink from SoftWorx. For those of you who might be interested the product consists of a software/hardware kit that connects 2, 3 or 4 PC's through printer ports with passthru. It users telephone cord to interconnect the PC's. The software is a TSR that requires 55K. I will appreciate anyones response to the following questions. Can programs be loaded and executed from any of the networked computers hard drives? How is the manual? Is it possible to share any other devices such as a modem? How are the hard drive partitions assigned to the other networked computers? Is the software bug-free? If not in what circumstances will it crash? Is it possible to successfully download at 9600 baud to/from one of the other networked computers while it is running another application? If the computer that has the printer is turned off can files still be printed? Will the network function if one of the computers is turned off? Where can it be purchased and for how much? (I am wondering if it can be purchased for any less that $146.00 at the Softwarehouse chain) Any other comments you may have.
