I have early versions, covering up to the 930 introduction. If the 7930 would be in this era, would be glad to look. If not, you might contact them, and see if they have any info on this problem. When I last called them, they wanted to know if i was a member before discussing problems at length, but they have a net on saturdays which should be "free" access to information. My experience with calling kenwood service directly indicates that if they have seen this problem before, they can probably tell you over the phone the fix, or send a tech bulletin describing the fix. I have done both with the ts830 and its infamous "frequency shifting" due to a poor ground on one of the boards.
