[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Use TCP/IP to send 'r' commands to PC?

saify@cbnewsl.att.com (saify.lanewala) (04/09/91)

Hi.

I have a UNIX host running TCP/IP (Lachman Assoc. flavor).
I would like to be able to send commands (Berkeley r-commands)
from the UNIX box to one or more PCs also running TCP/IP.

I have seen ads for PC/TCP software on a PC communicating over
a WD0003 Ethernet card. The specs that I saw indicate that
the PC can do stuff like 'remsh' and 'rcp' and 'rlogin' to a
UNIX host. What I really need is a way to have the UNIX host
do an 'remsh' and 'rcp' to a PC.

Anyone in netland have any ideas? Any help most gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.
