A few months ago, I purchased an Intel inboard for my IBM compatible (PB VX-88), and I thought I'd have no problems. However, my computer has a NEC V40/8088-2, not a NEC V20/8088 processor. The V40 is a faster and squarer chip (it has pins goinig around all four sides). The 8088 has an inline pin setup and I can't use the plug which came with the board to connect it. Does any one know of any way to connect the two. Does anyone know if the 8088 and V40 are compatible enough that I could just change the pin layout, or is the inboard out of the question? Thanks in advance, Scott Heavner sdh@po.cwru.edu
