I had a lot of demand about CRISP so I will summarise answer here.

CRISP as been devellop to bring DOS editor functionnalite to UNIX.
The editor as the same macro language as Brief 2.1 and is actually
use with many architecture and terminal. I use it miself on
Sun3 and Sun4 running SunOs 4.*
A new version is comming that is suppose to be compatible with
Brief v3.0
I have heard that CRISP as been ported to DOS but don't know
where the source are.
For the UNIX source, you can get them by FTP at uunet.uu.net
in /comp.sources.misc/volume7/crisp1.9 Get all part* to install
it. A set of path as been sent last week so you will need them to
finish the installation.
There is also a mailing list for CRISP user.
