[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] IBM PC samples to speaker source code?

dmarer@madvax.uop.edu (04/11/91)

Greetings!

I am working on some programs which synthesize music, and I would like
to replay this music (for testing purposes) through the IBM speaker. I have
seen programs like REMAC which play sampled sounds through the PC's speaker,
and would like to know how this is done. Anybody got any source code or source
code fragments I could look at which do this? Thanx in advance!

If you look at a PC version of BoulderDash I've posted in comp.sources.games, you will see some code to play digitized sounds on PC speaker.

It's a first try but I think it works well due to the quality of the interface.
