[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] User Experiences Requested!

pburke@vms.macc.wisc.edu (Peter Burke, MIC, 608-263-7744) (04/16/91)

The Micro Information Center of The University of Wisconsin Madison is
currently trying to establish an official recommendation concerning
IBM-compatible computers. Our function is to aid the campus community
in questions concerning all aereas of micro computing. This also
entails hardware recommendations. Since we do sell IBM PS/2 machines to
departments, we are looking for a lower priced alternative.

We are interested in responses from users who own one or more machines
of the following manufacturers:

Northgate
Zeos
Gateway 2000
Everex
AST
Dell
Tri-Star

We are interested in experiences concerning:
   Service after the sale
   Any problems with sales people
   Reliability of the hardware
   Networking experiences (especially running Novell)
   On-site Service quality

Please email any comments to either

PBURKE@VMS.MACC.WISC.EDU or to

GJOHNSON@VMS.MACC.WISC.EDU

Thank you for all responses. If there is a need for a compilation of all
responses we are willing to post in this group.
