[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Need OS for old IBM computer

tdh@po.CWRU.Edu (Thomas D. Halter) (04/16/91)

Well, I don't know if this is the correct place for this, but here goes.
My brother just acquired a rather old IBM computer. I haven't
seen it, I've just heard his description of it over the phone. Anyways,
as near as he can tell, it is an IBM model 5322. It has a CPU with two
8 inch floppy drives. My guess is that it is one of the immediate
predecessors the IBM PC.

The computer is complete (keyboard, CPU, and monitor) and appears to
function properly (it completes a RAM check when powered up, just like a
PC). However, he has no operating system or programs for it. He
doesn't really want to use for any serious work, just play around with
it for it's curiosity and entertainment value (if this is your idea of
entertainment). If anybody would have an Operating System and a
programming language like BASIC or anything else for this beast, I
would greatly appreciate it.

I would appreciate it if you e-mailed your response to me rather than
posting to this newsgroup, since I rarely read it.
