Anyone out there had any experience with the Quadtel BIOS that Gateway is presently using on their 16 MHz 386SX systems? Any compatibility problems? Thanks in advance. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ William W. So far I have been quite satisfied with them. The only problem I have seen so far is an incompatibility with Microsoft windows that was fixed with an updated BIOS. The version that I had problems with was 3.04.02. Quadtel bioses dated on or after May 1990, seem to have this fixed. I phoned DEICO with a description of the problem and they upgraded me to a new version of AMI bios, which I have no complaints about. The best thing to do is make sure that Gateway has tested the version of Quadtel BIOS they ship with MS Windows running in Enhanced (Protected) MODE. ========================================================================== Remember, no matter where you go there you are ericm@ims.UUCP ========================================================================== -- This is a test
