Hi! I have a question concerning how to use the protected mode of a 386 and still being able to multitask. I enjoy my current multitasking environment provided by MSWindows 3.0, but a gcc compiled scheme implementation (that puts no physical limit on memory requirement) has to be run in protected mode. MSWindows 3.0 only multitasks programs in real mode, so the scheme interpreter won't run. According to the advertisements, DesqView 386 support the standard mode. The question is: what is the standard mode? Will DesqView 386 support application that runs in the protected mode? Please respond via email, I have problems catching up with the articles in this newsgroup.
