A new problem suddenly appeared in my AT EGA system. When
a program initializes graphic mode 9, the 640 x 350 resolution,
the bottom third of the screen fills with a set of blue
horizontal lines that grow thicker and thicker towards the right.
A second change is that the System Information program in
Norton Utilities says that the Adsapter Card has 192K memory,
whereas it has (had?) 256K installed.
Any suggestions on what might have gone wrong-- and is it
the sort of thing that can be fixed by chip replacement, or
does it require a trip to the shop?
