I'm being forced by circumstances into supporting DOS users internally, and although there are several good packages (such as MKS Tookit) for making systems usable, I don't know much about how to get these things do stuff on their own. I'm aware of a package called DS Timer, but haven't played with it yet. I thought I'd ask the experts in this environment for suggestions. What I'd like is something that allows job scheduling similar to cron, but with the added "feature" that it should pop up a little window and ask if the job should be run, scheduled for later or skipped. If no response is given within a minute or so, the job should be run as scheduled. This would keep it from interrupting someone who's working unusual hours. Perhaps it could be an option so that very small things could happen and maybe the user wouldn't notice, or maybe if Windows were a requirement, maybe it would multitask enough that this feature would be unnecessary.
