Well folks, the seeds of a certain nameless discussion reminded me of something I read in the ARRL operating manual when I first got involved in ham radio. Beware that this is not an exact quote. They cautioned against discussions of both politics and religion (sometimes inseparable) on the air, as these topics frequently lead to unfriendly exchanges, which, of course, have no place in our operating practices.
