I have Desqview 2.2.

Page, 89, Chapt 5: ...

...To create a startup script, learn a script in the normal manner.
But When the Start a Script menu appears, enter a name that begins
with an exclamation point (!) in the Script Name field - for
example, !Startup DESQview. Now this script will automatically be
performed when the program or DESQview is started up.

I used this to start two nodes of a bbs when DESQview starts.
