[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] MS-DOS driver for SCSI floppy-like devices ?

zeller@bernina.ethz.ch (Lukas Zeller) (05/11/91)

I'v got a memory-card reader/writer with a SCSI interface that can handle the
same memory cards as the POQET Notebook PC (JEIDA 68 pin). There is also a
ordinary 286 machine with a Rancho RT1000 SCSI interface card with some
software.
It would be very handy to have the 286 read and write the cards in the same
format that the POQET uses.
It's no problem to connect the card reader/writer to the 286 and access it as
*hard drive* D:. But this means that the card will be formatted with a partition
table that the the POQET cannot handle, aside from a few other format
differences.
What I need is a MS-DOS driver that can handle floppy-like SCSI-devices (no
partition table), but it must be enough flexible to understand other formatting
than that of a standard floppy disk (the POQET format has 2 copies of the FAT
etc.).
Any hints to existing software (commercial or public) that could solve this
problem would be apprechiated very much. Thanks a lot!
