[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] telling DOS print command how long a page is?

weasel@frey.newcastle.edu.au (Geoff Skellams) (05/13/91)

I'm having trouble with paper usage with the print program that comes with DOS.
I have an old TEC daisywheel printer, and when I use the print command from
the command line, it thinks that a page is about 1.75 times as long as they
really are.
Is there a way I can let it know how long a page is? (I've had a look
in the DOS manual and can find no mention of how to do it in there)
Alternatively, is there any sort of replacement program available
(shareware/freeware) for anonymous ftp that will do the same thing better?
	Thanx in advance
					Geoff
