A friend of mine is interested in buying a 386/33 MHZ from Insight Computers
(Tempe, AZ) via the Mail order. Would anyone like to make comments, bad or
good experiences, on this hardware or this company ? Your info is solicited
and will be appreciated very much.

I have recently purchased the Insight 386/33 MHZ computer. Mine has 4MB RAM,
an 105MB drive, 1 5 1/4" and 1 3 1/2" floppys, 1MB Orchid Pro Designer II card,
a Cardinal 2400B internal modem and a Super VGA monitor in a tower
configuration. So far I LOVE it! I got all that plus DOS 4.01 and Windows 3.0
for under $2800. They sent it out Federal Express and I received it 2 weeks
from the time I ordered it. They had a support line (which I used on a
Sunday no-less) and they were very helpful.

The only negative I have is that the Turbo button on the tower is not connected
to the motherboard. They say there wasn't room to attach it to there board.
I asked them why they bothered to include it - "Good question" they answered.
They give you this attachment that you are supposed to put batteries in for
the turbo to work. "Ya right, sorry not for me."

Despite all that, the machine works great. Insight is little known but they
did deliver me a machine that has worked with all the software I've loaded on
it. They say the speed has been rated as high as 42 MHz on their 386/33.
I run Wing Commander on it and I have a hard time keeping up on it.

I've even installed a Sound Blaster card and it works well too. Insight gets
a thumbs up from me.
