I am in desperate need of any routines written for Microsoft C (I have version 6.0) which better utilize the video display than the ones shipped with the compiler... Specifically, I'd like to do very fast two-dimensional animation on a SVGA card (I currently have a Paradise) but their routines just don't cut the mustard!... Please e-mail any responses...Thanks in advance... =steve ======================================================================= Internet: yohanan@csd4.csd.uwm.edu Bitnet: yohanan%csd4.csd.uwm.edu@wiscmac3.bitnet {seismo|nike|ucbvax|harvard|rutgers!ihnp4}!uwvax!uwmcsd1!uwmcsd4!yohanan =======================================================================

I find hard to imagine VGA etc doing fast animation as the ratio of CPU access speed to Video memory to Normal memory is not good (about 1/10 the speed). Hope you find them, they'll need to be pretty fast and efficient/ BTW what machine are you using? 386 or 486 you are probably ok, but a 286 is just too slow for useful animation. Personally I use an Amiga (ah,ah no flames please ah,ah) ha ha, Cya Murray.
