qst de k9eui hr arrl bulletin nr 94a from arrl headquarters newington ct october 30, 1985 to all radio amateurs bt during the 7 day spacelab mission d1, astronauts dg2km and dd6cf will operate amateur station dp0sl. there will be three modes of operation, 1, beacon operation with inserted callsign, no receive. 2, beacon operation with automatic recording of incoming calls. there will be one minute receiving time with recording of received calls on tape. 3, two way voice communication using f3e emission. the normal channel pair will be 145.575 mhz transmit, 437.275 receive. other pairs are 145.450 transmit 437.125 receive, 145.475 transmit 437.175 receive, 145.550 transmit 437.225 receive. additional receive frequencies are 437.325 and 437.375 mhz. an effective radiated power, erp, of 20 dbw is recommended for contacts with spacelab. for example, a 70 cm transmitter with 10 watts power output combined with a 10 db gain antenna would be a good choice. keplerian elements for d1, element set 3 epoch 85/305.59930556 drag 2.5e minus 04 inclination 57.17 raan 185.5548 eccentricity .00099 arg of perigee 331.9019 mean anomaly 11.8423 mean motion 15.81006178 semi major axis 6704.0908
