Sorry that my attempt at humor has turned so many flames on (pse save
them for those mongolian marvels of manual dexterity and their Onan
generators).

I've worked Tony on 4 bands and have QSL cards for all. I wish that
others, like FR0FLO, were so organized and prompt in returning cards.
The stamps, as the N7 pointed out, are quite attractive. And, yes,
*flame off please*, San Marino is indeed not an island.

As in other cases, claims of number are exercises in futility as
others always have more (or are bigger!), I have done as many: I
have 5-Band DXCC and 289 worked total with 288 confirmed. Discounting
my "donations" to VK9NS and other Heard Island expeditions, and others,
that's quite simply one heck of an investment in QSL's. Most foreign
hams were QUITE cooperative. No one has twisted my arm to get in-
volved in this, and I have quite freely paid my greenstamps and IRC's.

Being from the John Riggins school of amateur radio, I'm not as
inclined to take this fine hobby as seriously as some of you on the net
seem to. Sorry that my attempt at humor has pulled any chains (I'll
leave the leg pulling to our friends in JT0). This certainly isn't
the Geritol net, nor is it the Black Sheep of 3.795 fame. So, let's
put our flames away and not let it become the Metamucil Net. For
my part I'll try to keep my humor to myself.
