Hello, I'm using a Maxtor HDD: 1224 cyl., 15 heads, 26 sectors, RLL at ST506 interface WD 1006 SR2. AT 386, AMI Bios Problem: only 1024 cyl. usable under DOS Any suggestions (driver, PD, ..) to use the resting cyl. ?? ONTRACK sells a driver called WDBIOS or some such to support drives like that ... it's part of the DIsk Manager package. Or if your controller supports it, you might be able to configure it with 612 cylinders/52 spt and let the controller handle the translation ... that's what I've odnw (that's done) with my physically-similar ESDI units...
