I recently bought a used PC with 4 meg of RAM. There was no documentation with any of the software on the hard disk and so I went out and bought DOS 4.0, windows, etc. I've followed the installation instructions for these packages but I don't think that I have my CONFIG.SYS file set up correctly because when I enter the DOS MEM command, it recognizes that I have 3 meg of extended memory but says that none of it is available. Before I cleaned off the hard disk, I could put the CHESS.BMP file up as wallpaper under windows. Now that I've reinstalled DOS and windows it "doesn't have enough memory" to use that file for wallpaper. Any suggestions??? Thanks! -Dale Rhoda
