Does anyone know of a program like "On Cue" (from Mac land) for Windows 3.0? For those not familiar with On Cue, it's a pull down menu that you use to launch software quickly and easily. People got tired of clicking their way down a directory tree until they finally got their hands on the icon that would fire up the software (sound familiar window users?). Any pointers are appreciated. Thanks. -- Pat Peters Convex Computer Corporation UUCP: pat@convex.com 3000 Waterview Pkwy Richardson, TX 75080 Voice: (214) 497-4706

Actually, this does not sound familiar at all. With Windows, all your applications are grouped together in the Program Manager. Any application you want to run is sitting right there already, with all the datafiles, etc nicely tucked out of view. A much more efficient arrangement than the Mac Finder, I think. In response to your inquiry, there are several programs for ftp from cica.cica.indiana.edu that will do what you want, including Usher and Backmenu. These pop up when you click once on the desktop, not when you innocently move' your pointer into some "hot spot". I find this to be an annoying feature of On Cue. Lastly, in the future please put posts concerning Windows on comp.windows.ms, NOT in this group. -- ______________________________________________________________________________ Will E.
