Problem with Leading Edges is that the motherboards and power supplies (and therefore the cases) are not standard. So to upgrade would mean to get the following: 286 baby AT motherboard $100 1 Meg RAM $ 50 Baby AT case $ 30 Power supply $ 30 Herc Card $ 20 Approx. $230 Add whatever you'd spend on a faster hard drive (if you want one). Then sell your case, MB and power supply to someone who needs one (you'll get at least $50 for it I'll bet...) >i have an ibm pc compat of the leading edge type, and i was wondering how > expensive and difficult would it be to upgrade to at least a 286, maybe more.... >i have : >extended video bios >640 online ram >2 5.25 drives >hard disk....20 megs -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iskandar Taib | The only thing worse than Peach ala Internet: NTAIB@AQUA.UCS.INDIANA.EDU | Frog is Frog ala Peach Bitnet: NTAIB@IUBACS ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
