qst de k9eui hr propagation forecast bulletin 46 from arrl headquarters newington ct november 18, 1985 to all radio amateurs bt beginning in the middle of october and lasting through november 16, the solar flux was higher than at the same point in the previous solar rotation. after a november high of 86 on the 15th. the flux dropped to 79 by the 17th and 18th. visible activity on the sun was mostly in the western portion by this time so anything like the october high of 95 now seems unlikely this month. as this bulletin is being written, 21 mhz is full of life but 28 is almost quiet, a condition we will see often in the next two years or so. except for low muf. propagation was fair to good after the first few days of november. geomagnetic disturbances were mostly mild. and they should have even lower intensity for the next nine days or so. november 22 to 24 and 26 to 28 should be the best days, but fairly severe disturbances will close out the month. their effects will be most obvious on high latitude circuits. during october and november, conditions were fairly typical of what would have been expected, with nearly two years left for a cycle of average length. deep lows like those earlier this year appear at seemingly random times in the late years of most cycles for which accurate records are available ar
