I have a 286 which can only map 1M of memory as 512K base and 512K extended so I bought DOS 5.0 to get more free base memory. However the computer hangs when DOS=HIGH is added to CONFIG.SYS and boots OK without it. Anybody have this configuration and get it to work? Feels like I wasted some money. Mike Ching

Well, I got a 286 too, and also 1M memory. But I put 640k for conventional and 384k extended. Everything is fine.
