Hello out there. I just got a 386 machine, of which I know how it should be configured, but do not manage to configure it this way... The problem is this: The machine has quite an old BIOS (see below), as it seems without a ROM- setup. I tried any possible combination to enter the internal setup - with no success. I couldn't find a working external setup either:-( Power-on messages to follow: --- Phoenix 80386 ROM BIOS Version 3.06 Copyright (c) 1985,86 Phoenix Technologies Ltd All Rights Reserved CHIPS AND TECHNOLOGIES AT/386 SYSTEM SOFT SETUP VERSION 1.12 BANK 0 - 1024K NON INTERLEAVED 256k DRAM'S, 0 WAIT STATE MEMORY BANK 1 - DISABLED BANK 2 - DISABLED BANK 3 - DISABLED AT BUS CLOCK SOURCE - CLK2/2 --- The BIOS itself is marked as follows: --- Compatibility Software (c)1986/A3 Phoenix Technologies 48793 --- I definitely know, than there are 1024k of memory in BANK 1, and that a ROM-BIOS shadow was enabled (long time ago...) External setup's either didn't change anything, or the computer wouldn't boot afterwards:-( I'd be glad about any kind of information. If anybody owns a computer in this configuration, or has an external setup-program, or knows if there _is_ a internal setup - let me know! Perhaps an old external from Phoenix will do it, too. Changing BIOS'es doesn't work - I tried it with 4 different ones...
